Ever since my beautiful stone countertops were installed I have been dreaming of kneading some bread dough on them. I’ve never really made bread before so it will be a learning process for me. This technique for making a sourdough starter was featured on the Serious Eats food blog. It seems pretty simple and I figure if I’m going to get into bread making why not just dive right in? It’s basically water and flour in a jar that is left to sit on the counter. It takes 9 days for the first “harvest”. Wish me luck!
