Tonight was the first pickup of our winter CSA season. Luckily it has been a mild fall and all the veggies came from the fields. And what a harvest it was! I was surprised by the variety of produce we received. Four different types of lettuce from the ground in November!

This week’s share:
6 lbs. Sweet Potatoes
4 lbs. Yukon Gold Potatoes
1 bunch Red Beets
1 head of regular Bok Choy
2 bunches of Broccoli
1 head of White Cauliflower
1 head Green Boston Lettuce
1 bunch Orange Carrots
1 head of Savoy Cabbage
4 heads Baby Bok Choy
1 bunch Green Scallions
1 bunch cilantro
1 bunch Red Romaine Lettuce
1 bunch Red Oak Lettuce
1 head Red Boston
4 pieces loose garlic cloves

Winter CSA Week #1

Well I guess I missed the cabbage. Does anyone know if you can use cauliflower leaves for something? Mine has huge leaves and it seems like such a waste to just throw them away.
